Fun Christmas Party










and fun with my camera. Tonight was our company Christmas party -- and the ladies did all the decorating this afternoon. It was held at the Spring House at the Hermitage....really a lovely setting. I had fun playing with my camera too...thought I would share a few favorites.

    oh the mouse is real alright....we did white elephant gifts...and someone brought this little mouse inside one of those runner balls. I had Weston put it in the tree for a picture...and then give it back to whomever the "lucky" winner was....made for a good pic....certainly not a good gift.

    I'm so glad to read that it was a gag gift and not just "found" in your tree. It is a cute little mouse, but if it was found in my house that cute little mouse would have scared me and the kids right into a local store spending lots of money I don't have until Brave Greg got it out. Oh...that already happened. LOL!

"What? You Are Drawing and Painting In Your Bible?!?!?!"

This question was followed by the whispered question, "Don't you think that makes God mad? It's HIS WORD!"  Yes...let me introduce myself. Hi, I'm Jann and I am a Bible Journal-er! Since you have seen me draw on just about anything...you are probably not as surprised as my friend with whom I had this conversation. And just to be clear, I'm not poking fun at her - I think that I have had that exact same conversation with myself over the years of my personal study...because even though I have recently started painting in my Bible - I have written my heart out in the margins of many Bibles as I have dug into God's Word to learn everything that He has wanted to teach me. And I have often drawn small images to remind myself of a principle -- like the one I drew here at the end of the book of Genesis! A Bit Behind....

in putting my finished pages into albums. I even have the albums...and the protector pages...it is just that I haven't sat down to do it -- and the pile just keeps growing and growing...and GROWING! These are pages I have finished since the first of June...so about five months worth...any guesses on how many? Shall we make it interesting? Post the number of pages you think I have stacked up here -- and I will send a RAK to the person who gets the closest. If two or more of you guess the correct amount -- I will do a little drawing to see who gets the prize. I should have taken the picture with the ruler in it -- for reference...but I forgot -- so I will tell you (for those of you that are mathmatically minded) that this pile is about 10.25 inches high. Good guessing. I will give you a week to make your calculations. Next Thursday, November 6th, I will post the winner.
