Love *Jenni*

Finally had time to open up the August kit from Jenni Bowlin...love it! First of all -- greens and blues are my absolute favorites...hands down...despite all the browns and sepias you see me use in scrapping -- pay no attention to that...I LOVE my blues and greens. So -- this kit was a shoe in for "favorite." Secondly...I have an addiction to ticket stubs...and there they were -- a WHOLE page of them. Wowsa! The possibilities were endless. Also...did you see that acrylic star?!?!? Huge! And oh so clear...just waiting to "frame" something. I even went so far as to get my Dremel drill out and poke holes in it so I could sew through it... loved it! So...without further babbling...here are a couple of layouts that "popped" right out of the kit into finished pages.

    LOVE THEM! This color suits you, you should use it more often. Just fabulous.

Under His Wings

 Everyone needs a safe place to go when they are afraid or in danger. Growing up in Texas, we learned at a young age that when the tornado siren went off, you stopped and headed to the inner most room of the house with no windows. If you were quick about it, you could also bring a pillow and a stuffed animal for comfort. The whole family would huddle until the storm had passed. That's not bad advice...for earthly storms...but hiding in a closet when you're facing life's trials doesn't real help much! I love the picture of God's covering and protection that we find in Psalm 91. It says He will cover us with His wings (or feathers) like a Mama chicken takes care of her chicks! When danger comes...all her brood hustle to get under her wings because she will protect them with her life. There is no safer place...in life, than under the protection of our Mighty God!
