The Big Stuff -- February

February 14th is Valentines Day...a good reason to use our The Big Stuff Journal to write about our big loves... As you prepare to work on your Big Stuff Journal, take some time to reflect on those things that have a piece of your heart. I divided my journaling into two parts...





First, a list of things that I love. My list includes: My heavenly Father, Royce, Weston, my family -- dear friends, photography, teaching, reading, scrapbooking (of course), the beach.





Secondly, a letter to myself reminding me what loving someone or some-thing means...it focuses more on the results of my love...not just the things that I love.





I also chose for my quote this month John 3:16 which says, "For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only Son -- that whosoever believes in Him shall not die, but have everlasting life."



I also thought you might like to see how I stacked some of my embellishments...I really like this trend in scrapbooking...and it is easy...just take a couple of embellishments (flowers, ghost shapes, buttons or chipboard) and stack them on top of each other to make a new embellishment. Here I took some of Heidi Swapp's ghost shapes and stacked them with a 7 Gypsies brad on top of a flower...just a nice little added touch...try it for yourself!

Dad is Turning 80

Hello friends: I need your help. My Dad is turning 80 at the end of this month. I am in the process of putting together a mini-album for his birthday. The goal is to have pictures from every decade of his life...along with quotes about Dads/Fathers and I want there to be 80 of them and I am running out of ideas. I would love it if you would help me by leaving a message here finishing one of these sentences: A Daughter needs a Dad because.... A Daughter loves her Dad because.... I have just finished organizing my studio and have created two boxes filled with surprises and scrapping goodies. If you leave me a message here finishing one of those two sentences, I will put your name in a drawing for one of those two boxes.
