White on White

Recently I discovered a new trend (ok - it's not exactly NEW...but it is new to me!) of white on white or tone on tone inspired cards! So I had to try my hand at it...and - I had the best time playing in my studio!

I love how the greenery pops off the embossed background...I am definitely going to be creating MORE of these cards. I have done a quick tutorial in case you want to try your hand at it!

Supplies:

White card stock: Papertrey Ink
Frame: Spellbinders Label Die
Greenery and Flowers: Memory Box Lavish Branch and Delightful Florals
Birds: Impression Obsession, Chickadees
Color: Copic Markers, Y21, W5, W3, W1

Jann it is beautiful, the card looks very elegant and the small amount of colour really does pop up off the page.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment, it is much appreciated.

  7. I loved watching your video showing this white on white technique. Elegant!

Your little chickadees are delightful :-). Where do you find all those wonderful dies? I have to tell you that this post and video has sparked the embers of my fading creativity :-)

Thank You, my dear friend for grabbing me by the face and telling me your "Jammie Jane's" wise words. I love you and appreciate your friendship.

    Love you - Leslie

  8. Lovely card and great video. Love how the colors pop against the white embossed background.

I have a Black Cat digital die cutting machine and have been cutting for several years now. I get a lot questions from other crafters that are looking for very simple instructions to get them started. I am working on some very BASIC videos to teach other crafters about all the wonderful things cutting machines can do. I have a few questions about the settings on a Cameo. I would love it if you could email me at papercompulsions at gmail.com and we could "chat".
    THANKS,
    Jani
