Well...I finally got the card toppers actually made into cards! My oh my! I had so much fun with this faux chalkboard art technique! So glad I stopped by the Papertrey Ink blog to see what their challenge was for this week.  Besty Veldman totally inspired me to try it...and every time I went into my studio - I just had to keep working on them...I have several more that still need to be made into cards...so I am sure I will have more to share soon.

 I love the concept on this one made with the On The Farm Stamps and Dies...but I'm not sure I am loving it...but thought I would share it with you and see what you thought.

I tried this one on both True Black and Smokey Shadows card stock...I can't really decide which one I like better. On some of the examples of chalkboard art I found on Pinterest, they used colored chalk...so I added a bit of pink, blue and green shading to the quilled hearts - and I think it adds a soft touch to them.

Ok - I have taped the tutorial - just need to get it edited - so hopefully will be back with that tomorrow!

    These cards are absolutely beautiful and I love the idea of using chalk to bring in a little color on the quilled hearts! Very nicely done. :0)

    Jann, I hoped over here and love seeing these beautiful chalk board card toppers. They are so realistic looking. I like the farm birthday one,cute saying and the chicken wire ties it all together! Great work.

    Love them all and think they work in both colours Jann. The farmyard card is a fun one and the others are more sophisticated and elegant so there is certainly a place for them all :)

 As many of you know -- I have started a small business to continue sharing beautiful content with you. I am thrilled that the Lord continues to let me be creative and is showing me ways to do so in spite of being diagnosed with Parkinson's.
